Monthly supporters
How recurring support, subscriber management, and amount changes work.
Each supporter should have at most one active monthly subscription to a creator or project. Supporters should manage the existing subscription in ATM instead of creating a duplicate.
A creator can keep simple pay-what-you-want monthly support, turn monthly support off, or publish fixed membership tiers. Simple monthly support changes are amount changes; fixed membership tier changes are tier switches.
Creators can view monthly supporters and tier labels in Supper, while payment-side subscription management happens in ATM.
Tiered memberships
- Fixed membership tiers should show the member's current tier on the public membership view, subscription cards, and support given/received views.
- Supporters should switch between available tiers in ATM instead of editing a fixed tier to an arbitrary amount.
- If a creator removes or archives a tier, existing members may need ATM or Supper support guidance before changing plans.
