Your guide to GPSR compliance for selling in the EU
A launch checklist for creators selling physical items into the EU.
The EU General Product Safety Regulation applies to many consumer products made available in the EU. If you sell physical goods to EU buyers, you are responsible for checking whether the rules apply and for keeping the required product-safety information current.
Before selling to the EU
- Confirm the product is safe and legal for the EU market.
- Keep product identification, manufacturer, importer, and safety-warning details.
- Provide clear instructions, warnings, and contact information where required.
- Make sure the listing accurately describes the item, materials, age limits, and risks.
- Be ready to respond to takedown, recall, or regulator requests quickly.
